KINSKI signings!

My graphic novel KINSKI is out this week! It's a quirky, Coen-brothersesque crime story about a salesman who steals a puppy and the unintended consequences that follow. It's fun, suspenseful and occasionally heart-wrenching. Trust me, you're going to enjoy it.

It's a 152 page trade from Image Comics collecting all 6 issues previously released digitally from Monkeybrain.

If you're in Southern California, I'll be signing KINSKI in both San Diego and Los Angeles this week. At both signings I'll be drawing FREE SKETCHES for anyone that buys a copy of KINSKI. Here are the specifics:

Here is the pricing for sketches:

One Character: $150

Two Characters: $300

Headsketch: $60

All are inked on 9x12 paper.

I will also be offering a limited number of 18x24 (very big!) con sketches done in ink and pastel. 1 character is $400. If you're interested these can only be done as pre-orders.

Email me here to pre-order.

I'll also be continuing my CONVENTION PORTRAIT PROJECT at these shows. For this project I draw a portrait of anyone at the convention who is willing to sit for 20-30 minutes, time permitting. All are welcome including but not limited to fans, fellow comics professionals, cosplayers, celebrities, anyone who would attend a comics convention.

I make an effort to draw as many as portraits as I can but I have other commitments at the convention and won't be able to fit in everybody.
The CONVENTION PORTRAIT PROJECT is a very earnest endeavor. I'm not drawing exaggerated caricatures or making fun of anybody. It's a straight forward documentary drawing project. I keep the drawings but I'll send you a high res scan after the show.
There is no set schedule for the portraits. Just ask me at the show and I'll try to fit you in.

ANNOUNCED AT SDCC 2014: INVISIBLE REPUBLIC & KINSKI PRINT EDITION FROM IMAGE COMICS

Corinna Bechko and I just announced a new ongoing gritty sci-fi series INVISIBLE REPUBLIC at San Diego Comic Con! Published by Image Comics, it'll be released in spring of 2015.  INVISIBLE REPUBLIC explores the secret history of one man's rise to power after an unspeakable act of violence elevates him to folk-hero status on a war-torn planet seeking independence. It's co-written by me and Corinna Beckko. Art by me. Colors by Jordan Boyd.

Here's an interview with me and Corinna about INVISIBLE REPUBLIC from ComicBook.com.

Here are INVISIBLE REPUBLIC preview pages on CBR.

Image Comics is also publishing the trade paperback print edition of my digital series KINSKI! It's a quirky b&w crime story of a salesman’s self-styled mission to save a puppy from its neglectful owners which escalates into a righteous crusade. The trade will collect all 6 issues.

Here's what the A.V. Club had to say about KINSKI: “Hardman…creates a tense atmosphere that makes Kinski the Breaking Bad of dognapping tales.”

The KINSKI trade will ship in November!

More info on both INVISIBLE REPUBLIC and KINSKI here in the press release.
