FIGURE DRAWING

Attended the figure drawing workshop in Pasadena again tonight after missing the last few weeks. I didn't have much success sketching in my preferred way on 18x24 paper with conte crayon so I switched to graphite in my smaller sketchbook. Here are the results:

SUMMIT CITY CON ROUND UP

I had a great time at Summit City Con in Fort Wayne, Indiana this Saturday. Small shows are really good for spending more time with fans and hanging out with creator friends. Thanks to Zack Kruse and Cameron & Christina from Discount Comic Book Service for inviting me and putting on a great con. Here are a few of the sketches from Saturday:

Here's my contribution to a 12 ANGRY ME jam piece, E.G. MARSHALL:

And here's the full Jam piece so far with contributions by Dave Wachter, Tom Scioli and Hilary Barta:

Summit City Comic Con

I'll be at Summit City Comic Con in Fort Wayne, Indiana this Saturday. I'm doing sketches and I'll have original pages to sell. Here are my sketch rates for the show: One character 9x12 inked sketch: $100 Two character 9x12 inked sketch: $200 Head sketch 9x12 inked: $40 If you're planning to be at the con, please stop by my table and say hello. Corinna couldn't make it this time so it's just me manning the table. If you want to bring me a cookie, I won't discourage you.

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY: THE RESULTS

Had a grueling and successful FREE COMIC BOOK DAY yesterday at Collector's Paradise in Pasadena. Got the chance to chat with fellow guests Steve Niles as well as Shane Houghton, Chris Houghton and  Matt Whitlock. But mostly I drew. And drew. I drew 70+ sketches yesterday.

MORE FIGURE DRAWING

Went back to the figure drawing workshop again last night. Poses were a bit longer this time. All drawings are 18x24 - black and white Conté crayon.
