Golden Age Sandman - One Minute Later

This is a commission for Michael Finn's One Minute Later series. He has artists depict what would have happened one minute after the events in an iconic cover. I chose Adventure Comics #40 featuring the Golden Age Sandman. In a lot of ways my piece is as much a reinterpretation but I still think it fits the mandate.

I've always loved Golden Age comics characters but this piece also gave me the opportunity to draw in a noir-ish, textured style that I love. Ironically it's the kind of material I haven't gotten the chance to work on in comics yet. I hope to change that if at all possible.
