FREE COMIC BOOK DAY

This May 5th is Free Comic Book Day and I'm going to be signing at Collector's Paradise in Pasadena, CA along with my POTA co-writer Corinna Bechko. We will be joining an awesome list of creators including Steve Niles, Shane and Chris Houghton of REED GUNTHER and Matt Whitlock.

Figure Drawing

Corinna and I tried a new figure drawing workshop in Pasadena tonight and it went very well. Small space. Very good model. All short poses. Between 1 and 15 minutes. 


For figure drawing, I try to draw in a loose, direct style, mostly in Conté crayon. 


Since all the poses were short, you have no choice but to commit to the line you're drawing and move on. It's a great exercise. Highly recommended for all artists at all skill levels.

Post-C2E2

Had a great time at C2E2 in Chicago this past weekend. This was our first time attending the show or any mid-west show for that matter. I had heard mixed things about C2E2 in the past but it really seems to have found it's feet. It was well attended and very successful for us. I could live with out the weather oriented flight delays getting home but it is what it is.
